Views over Harbour Island from the Ile de la Comtesse: an arch, which was the last remnant of the original link from the peninsula to the cliff, was washed away during a powerful storm in the 19th century, transforming this piece of rock into an island once and for all. This rocky knoll named the 'Comtesse' (Countess) therefore became an island of the same name.
