These grounds were landscaped in the English style by Le Gualès de Mézaubran, a powerful ship-owner from St. Brieuc's Port du Légué, at the end of the 19th century. He also built the spectacular villa (not open to the public). Nearly three kilometres of paths were cut through the grounds when they were remodelled, affording beautiful views over the Port du Légué. Giant sequoia, limes, Lambert cypresses, blue cedars, Monterey pines, mountain elms and ferns provide a pleasant 700 metre walk (1 in 10 slope) linking the St. Michel quarter and the Armez quay on the former industrial bank of Port du Légué. Open all year round, from 09.00 to 17.00, and until 19.00 in summertime.
